I was diagnosed bipolar 2and a hlaf years ago.....and i had only just given up smoking cannabis!

I have spoken to my Psych about my dabbling (that lasted way to long to be a dabble) and he said it didnt cause any of my symptoms, or my bipolar.....

however....cannabis wrecked a good few years of my life....i am so glad i got it out of my system.....i only hope i can rid myself of the nicotine soon too!

I would say it would HINDER as its a downer.....it makes you mellow and chilled .....or in other words.....it makes you feel relaxed and laid-back.....but that lasts a very short time, adn then you get depressed from the 'downer' element of the drug, which in bipolar, is the last thing you need!

There is NO illegal substance which would HELP bipolar...only the prescribed medication will help

Definitely hinders. Don't ever take any kind of drug, or drink alcohol while on your meds. It only made me worse. Jesus Christ is the only thing that ever made me completely better. I'm praying for you.
