Looking for a great Hoover Dam Tour company in Vegas?

HI everyone!

I'll be in Vegas in September and I wanna take one of those quick day trips to the Hoover Dam, but was wondering which tour company is a good choice? I'm staying at the Bellagio, so preferably, a company that will pick me up from there. Thanks for the help!

You don't need a tour company for Hoover. If you have a rental car you can just take a ride out there to see it. It's only a 35 minute ride and you can see the whole thing at your own pace. They have bus rides from most of the hotels that will get you there but if you have a rental you can do it just as well.

Places to go with a rental car Red Rock Canyon - This ultra-scenic area is only 15 miles from the Strip, but it feels thousands of miles away. The Sedona-style canyons are stunningly beautiful in the right light. There is a 13-mile one-way loop through the area, with small parking lots near hiking trails and picnic areas. Hoover Dam - This engineering marvel is 30 miles from Las Vegas, but it takes an hour or more to get there. You can take a guided 2-hour tour through the dam for $11 for adults, but just seeing it from one of the many observation areas nearby is enough for most people. Lake Mead - The above-mentioned Hoover Dam created Lake Mead when it was completed in 1936 and now this artificial lake is home to all kinds of boating and water sports. Grand Canyon - If you keep going for another 220 miles past Hoover Dam you can reach the Grand Canyon. The whole trip can take up to 5 hours each way, so this isn’t the sort of thing you’d do on a whim, but many people do it as a day-trip, and of course spending the night at a hotel near the Grand Canyon can make the visit a bit longer and more civilized.

Viator is a sucky company that just brokers other companies for a profit. The only good thing about them is they spend money making their website flashy. I've had experience with them and it was NOT good.

Here is the link you want: http://www.usbr.gov/lc/hooverdam/service/index.htm...

Just take the tour direct from the Government and save all the extra cost.

If you need the whole package Pink Jeep has a good reputation but theya re spendy. http://www.pinkjeep.com/jeep-tours/lasvegas/hoover...

Here you go. They will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Hoover Dam. In the express tour, which is all you need, you will have two hours to take the tour and walk around on your own. You can also upgrade if you wish.

GotoBus has many Hoover Dam Tours from LV that include hotel pick ups. Check it out to see if it meets your budget.

This is the best one I've heard about. Unfortunately the free tours aren't as reliable as they used to be.

Also, when you get to Vegas, keep and eye out for magazines like 24/7. There's coupons and rates, as well as tour packages listed.

I highly recommend Grayline tours of Las Vegas. I took some tours with them from Las Vegas, and they were reliable and informative. Here is their website:
