Because it shows restraint.
I much prefer subtelty to someone forcing their opinions, decisions or demands on me.
If I'm going to be manipulated, let it be done with class - I still know when it's happening.

I just do! Maybe 'cause I do not want to hurt anyone. Or respect privacy.
I try to be subtle now. Was once too open. Age mellows, I guess.
