Your topic is so broad, that I would consider limiting this to a specific minority group in America.

Here are a few stereotypes I can think of:

Native Americans- stereotyped as lazy, drunks whose best investments are casinos, almost always put into stereotypical roles in Hollywood

Asians- intelligent, hard-working and driven, but "slant-eyed" and wimpy/nerdy

Black people- supposedly like watermelon, fried chicken, and "soul food", great athletic ability (track and field, basketball specifically); on welfare, lazy, speak ebonics, face colorism (African-Americans); lived in huts and walled off from technology before coming here (African nationals)

Latinos- militant, in gangs, they're supposedly all Mexican, mistaken for illegal immigrants

Source(s): I'm a black person who is also Nigerian-American, which is probably why the black people section is most extensive.
