If you had multiple personalities and one believes in God and one doesn't, what happens when the person dies?
This should get some interesting results :D
Basically:
One Personality believes in God
One Personality doesn't believe in God
@kali: I wondered the same thing! So I posted this and now I'm waiting for whatever interesting answers I'm going to be given. I personally think that maybe they get stuck in between lol.
When I say "die" I actually mean the "soul" leaving the body at death.
@Day dreamer: I never said the person was insane.. but interesting.. what religion is this?

Whenever someone has more than one personality that can control their body/thoughts/actions etc., there is still one "real" self. That would be the original person and I think that is the person that matters in this equation.
However, (i'm thinking as I type this), a person with multiple personalities technically "creates" all those other personalities for one reason or another. So if the original self creates another self that believes in God then maybe it's because the original self wants to believe in God but struggles to do so. Maybe God would take that into consideration.
Interesting question!

Salvation isn't on the subject of the suggestions or emotions. Salvation is a spiritual existence which you acquire once you settle for Christ and the cost He paid on the pass. If the persons spirit has been born back then that individual will acquire eternal existence with Christ. does not count what the suggestions does or what proportion personalities the guy would have. The atheist character would be based on the religious state of that individual. God has made salvation extremely consumer-friendly. Accepting the present that He has given to us, to all of us which will settle for it. does not get lots extra easy than that. God is so good.

I say that what you believe and what actually happens are two different stories. Of course there's no way to know what actually happens to everyone, but we're all free to believe what we like.
Okay, scratch the above. I now understand the question; it was worded strangely. Are you wondering if they go to heaven or hell, or wondering what happens, as in, possibly completely outside the realm of Christianity? i.e. reincarnation vs. heaven (The above refers to the second situation.)
If were going either heaven or hell here, by the Christian beliefs, the person would probably go to heaven, since God loves everyone, even nonbelievers, so the nonbelieving half wouldn't matter as long as the person lived a morally good life.

In my religion most people believe that the insane cannot be held accountable.
Well I assumed that mental illness (of multiple personalities) would be considered a disability thus the person would not be held accountable for his other personality until he was able to reach a state of mental clarity. I'm muslim
Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib: "There are three whose actions are not recorded: a lunatic whose mind is deranged till he is restored to consciousness, a sleeper till he awakes, and a boy till he reaches puberty"

If there is a God: One personality goes to heaven, and one goes where ever everyone else who doesn't believe in God goes. People who believe in God don't believe the 'bodies' they have will be the same in the afterlife. So the personalities will be separated :)
If there is no God then there is no mystery.
