Why Do Most Pros Use Rawlings Heart Of The Hide Or Pro Preferred?

I noticed that yesterday! I wonder. Does Rawlings make them use those gloves?

The only thing Rawlings makes that are mandatory in Organized Baseball are the baseballs.

How can a sporting goods manufacturer force anyone to use their gloves, or any other equipment for that matter?

I'm not sure, but I own a Rawlings Heart Of The Hide outfield glove with a Trap-eze web and I love it. It is a great glove and the way it is made allows it to last for a very long time. Sure it's expensive, but the rule of thumb is that for gloves, you get what you pay for and if I played 100+ games a year, I know I wouldn't want my glove to fall apart mid-season and have to go through the trouble of breaking in a new one.

Also if you pay more attention many players use Wilson A2Ks or A2000s. Also Mizunos seem to be really popular among pitchers and infielders.
