Where to put bike helmet?

When I ride my bike to school, where should I put my helmet? I've heard that I should lock it to the bike, but I'm afraid of it getting damaged or stolen. What do you guys think? Thanks!

    EH, just put your lock through one of the loops.

    Then tuck it away kinda.

    Don't worry no one will mess with it.

    Virtually no one is going to steal a helmet because there's no second-hand market for them. But if you're worried, take it into class with you.

    I put bike chain through one the holes.
