Can you curl your hair after permanently straightening it?

can you curl your hair with a curling iron after using the japanese/ionic method of straightening your hair?

Update:

no, i like my hair straight, but once in a while i'd like a change...

    yes but, that's asking for major damage and it probably won't last long. :)

    yes because using a curling iron to curl your hair will only last for a short time there should be no lasting effects

    My chum have been given it permantely straightened and he or she did no longer like the way it became out, it wasn't all that today yet she did curl it frequently and he or she used a great style of hair spray. wish that facilitates.

    You can try but I don't think it will come out right. Besides that, putting heat on top of that kind of chemical processing would be really damaging to the hair.
