I cannot download messenger onto a computer, so i was looking for alternate ways to have MSN messenger.
It asks for your username and password...how can that be legit?

Because it's secure.
You could try messengerfx.com or iloveim.com or ebuddy.com if meebo doesn't appeal to you.

Completely safe. A friend of mine uses it and nothing has been stolen, his computer works perfectly, and most of all it doesn't mess with his internet. If you are really worried about it, just wait till you get a computer that you can download MSN on.
