Do they make size 1T underware?

Suggested Catagory: Men's Health

Update:

I have a very small 2 yr old how is *dying* to potty train. I got him some 2/3Ts and they are falling off his little tush! He's just 20 pounds and wears some 12 month clothes and some 18 months and 2Ts... but in pants it is *all* 12 months if you want them to stay on.

I've never been in a hurry to push my kiddos toward training... so having one so young and small needing underware has been interesting. Even when we have started training at 2yrs they haven't really been confident enough for real undies... but this one is *ready* and they just don't fit!

So... do they make smaller undies and if not what do I do with this kiddo?!? :)

Update 2:

Suggested Catagory: Men's Health... LOL

First wash the undies in hot water and dry them in hot. I know some of the underwear I purchased for my daughters shrunk big time after the first wash.

Also, I don't think 1T is a size but I have seem 18-24 month underwear in the thick cotton gerber training pants. They are harder to find - usually in the baby section, not with the regular undies. They run smaller and are more snug and thick for beginners. Target, Walmart and Kmart all have them.

Alternately, I would go to Walmart or Target and buy their smallest sizes in a couple different brands since they all run differently and wash them all to see which shrinks the most.

I had the same problem. My son was potty trained by his 2nd birthday, AND he is small for his age (still wears 12 mo shorts at 2.5) so his underpants were always too big. Through trial and error I found two brands that run "small." The Walmart brand (hmmm, can't remember the name offhand) is the best. They are much smaller in a 2T than any of the other brands, I think becasue they shrink up the most after washing. The waist bands were tighter too, and those fit him much better. I also bought some of the Gerber training underwear that are thicker in the crotch as they seemed to run smaller, but the waistband was not as tight. He actually preferred the Gerber ones because they were softer, especially the waistband.

Wash and dry them on hot hot hot so they shrink up as much as possible.

Have you tried looking for some at Target? I bought my 3 year old some Tinkerbell 4Ts from the baby section. Then when we went to the girls section she wanted some Hannah Montana ones, since we were potty training her we didn't mind buying both packages we also got them 4T (from the girls section). When we got home we realized that the 4T Hannah Montana undies from the girls section were slightly bigger than the than the Tinkerbell undies from the baby toddler section.
