Is Brett Lee's Test Career Over?

He won't get a game in this current ashes series and he has been almost constantly injured for the last 2-3 years. Will they ever pick him again? I think he's a shot duck. What do you think?

    Time and age catches all.

Lee was a great quick in his day and more so when paired with McGrath who was line length and skill.

    Yes, that's curtains for Lee.

    IPL only left now.

Sad but true. His career is over. He is the 50th best test match bowler as of now in the world and 9th best of Australia (after Johnson, Siddle, Hilfenhaus, Hauritz, Krejza, Andrew McDonald, Doug Bollinger and Stuart Clark) . The cutting edge is gone. Brett Lee should now get out of the real top class cricket and play in the lower levels and enjoy his life. I am a great fan of Brett Lee and wish that he should come back with his old form but then I realise that he is not getting any younger or sharper.

He has retired from attempt cricket and performs little FC cricket in Australia yet i've got confidence he would be patched up for a pair greater seasons of IPL/enormous Bash and then which would be it. I doubt you will see him in an Australian uniform returned although - Australia have some stable youthful speedy bowlers coming by way of and that they have no would desire to play somebody whilst they might desire to be giving them adventure. i'm additionally shocked he got here in this excursion - it is not as though he has ever performed properly in English situations, particular he's taking wickets yet no longer at a stable generic and he won't function interior the attempt, ODI or T20 worldwide squads. T20 is high quality for gamers like him, he can bat somewhat and easily desires to be in high quality condition adequate to bowl 3/4 overs a tournament, that would desire to no longer placed too lots tension on his physique.

His chances of a comeback are diminishing fast but he will still be around for a few more years. Somewhere down the line someone might get injured or be out of form and Brett could very well be recalled sooner than expected.

The current pace battery is working well and hence Brett finds himself out of luck. But you never know.

He is the 3rd highest Aussie wicket taker and someone who got Sachin Tendulkar out only 14 times. Sure he is over-rated. Only a non-Aussie thinks like that.

Yeah, I think he'll struggle to get back in, especially if the pack puts in another effort like the recent test.

-- GI, you have no clue. He probably won't get back into the test side, but to say Lee is over-rated is proof that you don't know what you're talking about.

By the way - The bloke in your avatar is a fine, upstanding, woman-bashing gentleman isn't he?

He remains hopeful, but it's not looking good. He is selected to play a match before the next test,so maybe he'll get a start in the 5th.They are deciding whether to drop Clark as the pitch there isn't suited to fast bowlers. So I can't see Binga getting selected really.

Overrated? lol, he is the 3rd highest wicket taker EVER in Australia.Yeah, overrated, lol.

No it's not over, he's a genuine game breaker and they will always be given extra chances despite injuries, look at Oram and Bond for New Zealand. They are always injured and yet as soon as they're fit again they're back in the team.
