Certain scents bring back feelings, memories and thoughts...does this happen to everyone?

And why? It's so weird. When I smell a certain scent, I'll get this feeling rush over me and it's the SAME feeling that I had or mood I was in when I first discovered the scent. It's hard to explain but is anyone else like this?

All the time, most of the associations I feel bring me back to when I was about 7 or 8... I end up getting really depressed because I miss those days... Time is so weird

oh yea, when I smell the Charlie perfume I think back to high school when I use to wear it.

When I smell cinnamon,it reminds me of thanksgiving when I was a kid.

Not all the time but alot of times. The scent is sent to our brain and we think like that, usually good times.

They say if you cook pumpkin it turns a guy on...don't know if it's true.
