does anybody else think that the politicians should have to be under the medical plan they want to put us in?

if it is so great why don't they offer to live under the same medical plan they want to impose on everyone else.

and why can't people get past this need for entitlement, your health is your responsibility not mine, yes basic life saving should be provided but not everything, they need to regulate the industry and it prices not regulate peoples personnel freedom to chose their own policy and insurance provider.next thing you know they will want to regulate what you say or think, these people are trying to take our freedoms a little at a time and everyone is just following along blindly while this country slowly dies and becomes just another socialist republic.

Did you do any research at all? This will NOT force people to change policies! If you already have health insurance, you can KEEP IT.

    YOU CAN KEEP IT.

    YOU CAN KEEP IT.

    YOU CAN KEEP IT.

Shouting and repetition seems to be the only thing that gets through to some people, so I figured I'd try it.

Here's why we need more than basic life saving. It happened to my boyfriend's father last winter. He had tightness in his chest and was a little dizzy, but he didn't think it was serious, so he didn't go to the doctor. He didn't have a lot of money or insurance, and he was afraid that going would be too expensive. By the time he finally made a doctor's appointment, it was too late.

He was an active, healthy man, who wasn't at risk for a heart attack, and they didn't have money for an autopsy, so we still don't know what killed him.

And by the way, he WAS responsible for his health, he ate well and exercised, didn't smoke, didn't drink heavily. And if Obama had been elected last year, he'd still be alive.

We as Americans are spending $6,000 more a year on health care for each individual citizen than any other country in the industrialized world. Not only that we also rank 30th in life longivity way behind Japan, second, France, fifth, and Canada, tenth. Fact is we have the best medical care system and technology, however, our top of the line medical care is for the rich and powerful, not for the middle class. The fact we have medical superiority over other countries is true, yet twisted lies gives the impression that the middle class gets the same medical benefits as the wealthy and powerful. Not true that's why we die a lot sooner than others in industrialized countries.

  • All of them have opted out of their own plan. We can keep ours but also pay extra taxes anyway. How is that fair? If you say you like your plan they say you can keep it. But that is all they say. They dont bring up the extra tax anyway. When someone asks them about it, they dance around the question. We will all be forced one way or another to get on their plan.

I totally think they should have to be a part of the medical plan they want to force on us. Just like I think they should have to be part of social security (which they exempted themselves from).

Of course not...It isn't mandatory for anyone else, so why should it be for them?
