    Salam Alaikum sis =)

you answered my question earlier about Ramadan tips .. thank you so much for your answer =)

before reverting, i fasted last year, Alhamdulilah it went well but at that time i did not pray ( because i didn't know how to ) and i have fasted sunnah after i reverted quite a few times .. so the "physical" part and the idea of not being able to fast doesn't make me nervous. what makes me a little anxious is that maybe i won't be able to have the maximum benefit out of this month of Ramadan as salah and reading Quran will be hard at home as family doesn't know i am Muslim.

i get really sad thinking that i might miss out the benefits of Laitul Qadr =(

but overall .. i am just really excited as it was the month(s) of Ramadan that bought me closer and closer to Islam and so i can't wait to experience my first Ramadan as a Muslimah .. finally =)

Assalamu alaikum.Welcome to Islam as a new convert.Alhamdulillah Allah has shown you the right, true and perfect religion which is the only religion blessed by Allah until qiyyamah.Your mistakes and bad diongs before being a muslim, have been forgiven by Allah so you are sinless just like a new born baby.

You do not need to be nervous approaching the moth of ramadan although you will have first experiance in fasting.Fasting is one of the5 principles of Islam (rukun Islam). But this obligation have been instructed by Allah long before Islam coming,to jews and chistians too.

Take it easy.Fasting will make you healthier and more taqwa (obedient)to Allah You will control your desires (lust)properly through fasting.By fasting all of your sins will be forgiven by Allah and your social feeling will be higher because you will know how thirsty and hunger if you are a poor person.Fasting just only make your breakfast time earlier before fajr time and delay your dinner up to the maghrib time. and avoid snack and drink during the day.You should have a strong niyyat or intention for performing the first fasting. If there is a will there is a way for reaching it Allah will not give difficulty to you If you are ill you can replace your fasting in another month after ramadan.

just don't do any strenuous physical activity and stay out of the heat

be sure to drink plenty of water at night

also dates are good because it helps balance your insulin or blood sugar or something like that
