Computer being a piece of crap...?

Alright, my bastard of a machine decides to stop working properly after I come back from being gone for a few months. The screen turns black at random moments, generally when I'm running a program (probably video card related then) and it'll shut down a random times as well, or go into hibernation, and there's general slow down issues as well. Games that once ran smooth, and that certainly should anyway since they're old, are now choppy and sometimes crash. I did a complete reformat, but nothing has changed. Does this sound similar to some issue that someone out there may know how to fix?

Well, hate to tell you but that 'bastard of a machine' is probably

thinking you're a 'bastard of a human' why? You left it alone! How

could you do such a thing to a bastard of a computer and think it'll

be fine after 'vacation?' You left it and expect it to be kind to you?

    - Okay, now that I got that over with lol.

Seems like it's the GPU (Graphics Card) if you reformated the OS

and it's running like ****, I have a nice idea. Go to google, type in >

Windows 7 Beta Release. Install it and have fun, but I'm only saying

this if it could be Operating System problems. It could possibly be

your harddrive, or just a device. Since you've done the reformat I'd

personally start with a new OS (Windows 7) which you can get for

free. If that doesn't work, I'd then get a new hard drive, or check all

    of my drivers.
