Student Loans - Finished Degree...can loan be written off HOW?
I have finished my degree, an borrowed up a lil over £10,000 ..
Can this be written off ? I have heard that if you move abroad it can get wiped off? Can someone please tell me the ways it can be written off?
Or personal experiences

If you move abroad and live there permanently for five years or more, yes it gets written off. Quite a drastic thing to do, but useful to know if you were planning to do it anyway.
I am paying off student loan, and it goes straight out of my wages. I hardly notice it, and to be honest I don't really consider it a debt.

I don't know how the laws are where you live but here, in the USA, the loan can not be written off...even if you file for bankruptcy.
Why in the world would anyone accept the education but not the responsibility for the money of it.....

It doesn't get written off until you hit retirement age. You might avoid paying it if you emigrate, but you would still owe the money.

Just pay up like the rest of us. If you don't want to pay it then you shouldn't have taken it out. I paid mine back at £90 a month and didn't notice it.
