Disneyworld passholders: Where can you use the B-day "fun card" in the park? Do you need to use it in one day?

We are seasonal passholders and have 2 b-days in the family by the end of the month.

We were thinking about getting the "fun card" option in place of the free b-day admission.

Just wondering:

where can it be used? Mainly interested in what stores and restaurants in the parks or DTD it can be used.

Can it be used any time, like if it is partially used can we spend the rest on another day?... or is it only for the day of your b-day to spend in one shot?

Thanks in advance

The card does not have to be used ON your birthday. However, it is technically a promotional card so it could end. While there is no official amount of time it is good for. I would think they would be valid at least through 12/31/2009, but much after that time you may be pushing it.

It is good at any "Disney" owned store in the Parks, Downtown Disney, or the 3 Disney Hotels. It is not good at any Licensee locations, or at any Resturant or Outdoor Vending location. Unless something has changed they do allow you to use that card to upgrade to a higher level pass as well. They will give you a list of stores when you pick up the card. A licensee location is one that while they are in Disneyland it is not owned by them. Basically any store that does not sell the usual "souvineers" is a good chance they are a licencee, such as the Crystal Shop.

Just keep in mind of a few things.

    1. You have to go INTO the park to get the Birthday Fun Card. You go to either City Hall in Disneyland or Guest Relations in California Adventure. They will not give you the Card outside of the parks. So if you pass is blocked out you have two choices. To buy the Blockout Ticket($45) and enter that day to get your Fun Card, or to just get the free admission.

    2. You need a Government Issued ID. This would include either a Drivers Licence, Passport, or Birth Certificate.

    3. You need to do this ON your Birthday or you get nothing. So unless you have the 2 Birthdays on the same date you will be going twice. A day before or a day after is too late.

We already have been through this once and still have a few dollars left to spend from a card we got earlier in the year.
