Ford Aerostar AWD 1991?

What other Ford vehicles used an interchangeable transmission with my 91 Aerostar AWD? I need to find a used one, and that model is rare.

    The only direct "bolt-in" is one from a 1990-91 4.0 AWD Aerostar.

    However, if you want to get a trans. shop to change the shift lever for you, there are a lot more donors. (Changing the shift lever means cracking open the trans and takes a special tool-you really do need a shop to do it for you).

    If you can get the shift lever changed over to your Aerostar version lever you can use a trans from-

    1991-94 4wd Explorers

    1991-94 Mazda Navajo 4wd

    1994 Mazda B4000 4wd

    1990-94 Ranger 4.0 4wd

    Well the only thing that will come close is either a Ranger or Bronco II with 4x4 yr range 91 to 92

    the place does it crack? have been the mating surfaces thoroughly freed from debris? replaced into it torqued in series and to the right foot-pounds? replaced into it mated to the torque converter precise? are the starter mounting holes hogged out?
