legal age for lip piercing without parental consent?

Most (but not all) piercing shops won't pierce you if you are 16 without a legal guardian (with an ID). It depends where you live or where you get it done.

I was able to get my lip pierced at age 15 with my sister's boyfriend as my guardian.

Guardians are needed to sign a paper saying you won't sue the shop if something happens.

Ask around your neighborhood and see what's up. You might find a place that will take you in without a guardian.

I live in Ireland and one piercing parlour here will pierce your lip at 17 with parental consent, 18 without, i was 16 at the time and passed for 18.

in tattoo parlours they will be strict about ID, but i know a few places that allow lip piercings at 16 with parental consent,

it usually is 16/17 with consent 18 with ID

you will just have to look up some local places ring them up for their policy,

the issue here is this industry is not regulated which means there is no law so its up to the shop at what age they carry out the piercing with consent

but buyer beware because they are not heavily regulated you can be left with a crooked piercing,metal stud that you are allergic to,need after care so always ask for a receipt and keep it! i once had to go back and get mine pulled out from the front as overnight the back skin swelled and closed over the bar :/

it depends, I'm 14 and i got my bottom lip pierced, on the right and i got it done when i was 13 you only need them to ring up you're parents, but some shops are different, like in Exeter some place called ' paul and lindz' you can be any age probs over 10 but blue banana you have to be 16. depends really.

in the uk, as long as you provide ID that conforms you are 16 you shouldn't have a problem getting it done, it isn't unheard of for a studio to say 18 without consent, but I personally have never come across this.

I agree with pitbull mommy. I do believe it's 18 without parental consent as you legally become an adult at that age.

depends the tattoo and piercing place where i live its 16 but when i went to another town it was 18 there just ask at you local tattoo and piercing place
