Gibbs said NH attendees chosen at Random?

Robert Gibbs was asked how people got invites to the NH presidential "Town Meeting" and he said "they were chosen at random"

Does anyone know the source of names for the "random selection" he mentions?

A random sample isn't necessarily a representative sample. It could be a "random sample from the list of known Obama supporters" -- it would be random, but it wouln't be representaitve.

So my questtion is: What list was used as a "population" for this so-called "random" selection of invititations to the NH town hall meeting?

Update:

Lee, nobody else has an answer. Obviously the "Random" vs. Representative idea does not make sense to many on the left.

Is this the result of our left wing education system, weak on science, strong on teaching liberal political thought?

Dennis Miller has the best analogy that I believe accurately describes Mr. Gibbs. Miller said Gibbs is like the PC guy in the Mac vs. PC commercials. That made me chuckle. Gibbs comes off as a passive-aggressive stooge who is gonna carry water for the democrat party at the cost of any credibility.

Gibbs said the audience was not cherry picked? Who cares what he said? He is gonna attempt to present the current administration in a positive light even when it is obvious he is polishing a turd. It's his job... even if he can't do it very well. Then again, look what he has to work with.
