Anyone else annoyed by one word text messages?

Wow you are seriously bothered by that!!! I use "LOL" for sarcasm. <Like for a lame example>, you text your g/f or b/f who you just got over a HUGE argument with, but you are just starting to make up with.... the last thing you want to do is GIVE THE WRONG IMPRESSION. < so example> You text: " I just ran to the store and locked my keys in the car & i dont have an extra set". HE/SHE writes back: " looks like you will be hitch hiking".... without the "LOL" you would be ready to ring their neck. But " lol" makes the other people recieving the text no <<<"its just a joke" and knowing you wont really hitch hike but it would be funny to think about>>>... So calm down i think "LOL" is here to stay with the amount of TEXTING and IM's that go on. Does smiley faces get on ur nerves too??? Tell the people who you associate with to make faces instead :) :( :0) :-P There is not an age limit on who can use these "short messages" such as "LOL".. Even older people get sick of spelling things out. I know as much as i communicate with people the last thing i want to do i type more words than i have to, and im only 26 yrs. old. There are some people who take care of their selves & deserves to wear hip clothes. But if you look trashy the holey jeans make you look even trashier. And i dont no about the whole 50's hanging out with 16. Its ok just as long as you are related or like family and as long as it cant turn into something sexual, because thats just gross.

My ex boyfriend use to do that all the time.. it annoyed me soo much. I'll be like "so what did you do today?" and he'll say "basketball"

If I write a long text and they then respond with

"Ya."

I get VERY annoyed.
