I picked up my Gibson Les Paul guitar the day I heard he died and played "Birth Of The Blues"

I completely agree with you. I was definitely more devastated when Les Paul died than I was when Jackson died. But you have to consider the rest of the population. Micheal Jackson was a way of life for alot of people and put his faces alot more place than Les Paul did. Also, Jackson died at a younger age. There was no coverage up to the point of Les Paul's death.

I would like to honor him buy buying a les paul but I'm broke, so instead I will just listen to his songs and try to learn some of them on guitar.

I think they should air a big concert on tv with rock bands playing on Les Pauls. RIP Les P. :(
