Why is NBA 2K so overrated?

it is over ratted my brother said its the best game out. when i face the cpu they never miss they are unstoppable i never beat them. the same thing happens with me when i faced my bother today i got the rebound when the ball was coming of the hoop and they called goaltending i hate the dunk contest and the three point contest too it`s stupid how they have it in the streets and how they have other player getting the rebound your right they have no fiba that sucks and the dribbling sucks too and in the game Rajon Rondo is rated 91

Okay maybe some people are over rated in the game like Rajon Rondo and Jose Calderon. And maybe the computer makes a high percentage of their shots but nbthe game is still better than NBA LIVE and is the best basketball game out today.

The graphics are great and the gameplay is so realistic.

I agree with you I wish 2k had the traditinal NBA All Star weekend and Fiba Play but that dosent taker away from the fact that 2K9 is the best basketball Video game.

Sure thing. 2K has its faults and so as Live.

It does frustrate me on Superstar and Hall of Fame on Association, they almost never miss, even on contested shots. The Good; well, the game play is better than of Live. To me Live still feels a bit arcade-ish. 2K is as realistic as it gets.

It would be nice if 2K includes the All-star weekend an actual event on the Association schedule. I agree that dribble moves needs to improve. AI needs improvements sometimes user controlled players does not react the way it should be. And Superstars such as Lebron, Kobe, Wade are unstoppable. They are always automatic in scoring. The AI defense needs to improve.

I get frustrated during online play that players abuse those superstars religously.

Hopefully 2K10 is different.

Haha I agree with you. Also, when you try to dribble from the arc with a big guy ( ben wallace, dwight, etc.) they lose control haha. That's not their ratings anymore. Devin Harris is actually at 93 higher than Vince Carter. WTF. Hedo is 85 still I think, Rashard is 88, and Rajon Rondo is 91. Lamar is 88, i think. Chauncey Billups has a higher rating then Carmelo, which I think isn't right, and Tracy is only 89! Ughiee.

I think NBA LIve is much better. 2K is alright but it ain't as fun to play. But I do like that you can play 2 on 2, 3 on 3, and 4 on 4.

Yeah, the game frustrates me at times too. But hey, its a lot better than NBA live. Live's graphics aren't really all that great. Its gameplay doesnt compare to 2k's.

When you put it that way then yes it is kind of overrated, but I have NBA 2K on ps2 which has better graphics and a whole bunch of other stuff, so I guess NBA 2K is my only choice.

nba live sucks.its unrealistic and players can jump from the foul line in that game.plus kobe can make shots in that game with 3 people holding him.its terrible.2k is way more realistic

I dont think it is overrated at all,depend wich 2k are u talking about but they have the absolute best graphics while nba live looks like garbage at best.

NBA 2K doesnt have the money to provide more realistic numbers. Thats why NBA live numbers are more accurate.
