I am off to Israel, is it a better rate over there or here in the UK?

Change it in Israel. DOn't go to the banks, there are some places that you can exchange in corner stores for a good exchange rate.

YES! Only in Israel, and definitely not in the airports. For some reason the exchange rate doesn't work out as well in airports. Also, don't bring your Israeli money home to America (if you live there) because banks will not exchange coins and most Israeli money is in coins. Basically I am stuck with a bunch of Israeli currency...sigh... good luck!

I would exchange in Israel, This way you dont exchange too much or too little.you will get a good rate in Israel..Dont go to the banks, rather go to money changers, that can be found all over.

Change in Israel, you'll get a better value in any Change place than in the Banks.
