20 pounds is reasonable - losing a little over 2 pounds a week. Start a food diary for a few days and see where your extra calories are coming from, then cut those. And you will have to exercise but it can be a simple as brisk walking/jogging for 30 minutes every other day. You can do definitely do it by Oct 1.

    Thats a good goal!

Drink lots of water... and add lemon juice to it. The lemon juice basically acts as a detox, and makes it easier to lose weight. Dont add too much tho, because it'll taste really sour! :) And drink a glass of water before and after a meal... sounds like a lot of water, but THIS is the key to losing weight.

Whatever you do, do NOT skip breakfast. Eating just a little in the morning will keep you from snacking and eating larger lunches and dinners than you need.

Eat lots of green foods. Sacrifice beloved foods and eat them only as a "treat" or something.

Try running! its so much fun! really! it tones your legs, and ups your metabolism (which means you can naturally burn more of the calories you intake w/o exercise). Start off walking/running and dont overdo it. Then just run and increase the distance. Make sure you stretch a lot... you dont want to pull any muscles.

Get a friend to to this with you! Having someone to keep you accountable will not only keep you going, but you'll have fun!

    Good luck!

    Love who you are!

The sure fire way you would lose that much is by starving yourself, as in not eating a thing. But that's stupid, you'll get moody, get spots etc, so we'll skip over that!

A HEALTHY way of losing weight Is to eat a healthy breakfast i.e fruit smoothie or cereal, then have a small healthy snack for lunch then a healthy dinner. Making sure you get your 5 a day ever day. Exercising is good for toning up. Do situps and pushups etc but make sure you're doing them properly! Look on line for good exercises and fitness regimes. But before you do this you may want to work out what weight is a healthy weight for your particular height, so google bmi calculator for teenagers and it will tell you what your healthy weight is. Good luck and do it sensibly! :) x

The water thing may help. Putting a rubber band on your wrist and twanging it whenever you get the urge may help. The fridge trick you propose may help IF you don't stow snacks somewhere outside the big tall box. But you already know you're eating because you want to eat, not because you're hungry. So either you can stop essentially by yourself (w/ or w/o tricks like those above) or not. It may be that until you figure out why you're overeating you'll just keep going. In that case, you need professional help. You may be able to get it at low or no cost, depending on your community. In any case, the cost of continually getting fatter is going to be higher.

I have some tips for you (:

    For your diet:

    -No soda

-Avoid dairy that's not low or no fat

-Avoid cheese, it's pretty high in calories. Foods like pizza, pasta, starchy foods, can add up in calories quickly.

-Avoid eating too much bread; don't eat white bread/flour

    -Drink alot of water

    -Don't eat at bedtime

-Eat lots of fruits and veggies.

    Eat 1200 - 1500 calories a day. Never less.

Also keep your food portions limited.

For excersize, go for crunches, sit up's, weight lifting, squats, swiming helps too. Go for long fast walks. Stay active :)

I really hope this helps! <3

    Good luck.

Work out one hour everyday. Thirty minutes cardio, and 30 minutes core and abs. Only drink water and eat healthy stuff, like fruit, veggies, and whole grains. That's my routine. DON'T starve yourself. It slows down your metabolism and makes you look gross. You'll feel and see some mild results in a month, but this is a routine, not a turn into a stick quick solution.

Include at the very least 10 to 15 grams regarding protein, which suppresses ghrelin, a new hormone that stimulates your appetite. Include eggs, which are which could control hunger.
