My computer has:

My TV

has:

You can get them both together for under £10. I did.

There's a couple of different options. I know for a fact there are VGA -> S-Video adapters/cables available, and I would imagine there's probably one for Component Video as well. If you have an HDMI slot on your TV, VGA->HDMI is what I use. It requires one simple cable (although it is a little more expensive, but still affordable) and can be setup and taken down in seconds. If you have a RadioShack nearby, go visit them. They usually have some affordable ways to convert things and can instruct you how to do it if it's complicated (which it shouldnt be).

    Hope this helps.

You can buy cables specifically for this purpose. I use one... It cost $25 or so from eBay. You need to make sure it has the right male parts on both end and is long enough. Yes, that's obvious, but always good to be reminded before you mess up, right?

You can find them on Amazon as well.

By the way, you *can* find them with sound too. I get both audio and video through mine. Just be aware that many of them will only do video.

Obtain a VGA -to- component breakout cable, like this one:

    http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/component/vgat...

That is pretty cheap, and Blue Jeans Cable uses industry grade Belden cable - good stuff. Get the RCA kind (not BNC). Component will get you the best resolution possible. SVideo and RCA (actually called composite video) are of lower and lowest quality, respectively.

your tv has a Svideo so naturally your going to use an... Svideo cable..... plug it into the back of your computer right on your graphics card. Its only going to show the video you will need to use your computer speakers for sound.

if your video card has a svideo jack that would work but the image quality would be poor. today people buy LCD tv's which have a HDMI digital input that feeds off you video card. better image.

Have a look online and buy a VGA to component cable, they are quite cheap.

If you're sure you don't have an S-Video output, you could buy a cheap video card with one? That's what I would do.
