Does anyone know how to get rid of slugs without harming someone's pet?

Beer. Seriously, put small cups or beer around where you see them. If you only have a few slugs, just pour some salt on them.

get a slug bait that contains IRON PHOSPHATE.... it's harmless to kids, pets and wildlife...b ecomes fertilizer if not eaten by a slug.... the stuff works so good!!....

brands I know are Slug-go, Escar-go, and this one.(at Lowe's)

if you find another brand, just look at the ingredients list and see that IRON PHOSPHATE is the 'killer' ingredient.... anything else you find is toxic, in slug baits........
