single people: how many £s do you spend on food per week?
My daughter's thinking of leaving home and I'm trying to help her work out a budget. I'm wondering how much single people spend on groceries per week please. Just need £ answers really. TIA

Somewhere between £75 and £100, but I could live on far less than that if I needed to.

It varies a great deal but, as an example I spend about £45. Bear in mind that this includes all the rest of the stuff as well as food. Cleaning products, shampoo, toilet rolls etc. All the usual that you buy at the same time as the food. In fact, sometimes, as you probably know, the non-food stuff comes to more than the food itself.
