Where are all the earwig problems?
I have read many questions about earwigs in Yahoo Answers. Is there any part of the country where they are a real problem. I only see them occasionally and they are always in my garage.

They can become somewhat an issue with a homeowner when you have a no tolerance policy for insects. Most likely they are only looking for moisture and are feeding off of organic material in and around the house.
Any type of insecticide labeled for earwigs will work when applied in the proper areas, but most times there is no need for spraying.

Gosh lucky you. I live in Ireland and have a large back garden that earwigs just love, alas the feeling is not mutual I don't like them, they eat my sunflowers, my dahlias, my corn just about everything. I,ve tried the eco friendly methods of putting containers upside down on bamboo canes filled with grass and flowers, then every week or so I throw them all out contents and all. but I still have loads. I don't want to use sprays as I have two bees nest in the garden.
