Skaters using a Christian skateboard brand?
Do u think there can be a Christian skateboard brand? Like there can be bible scriptures on the top or bottom of the board and the wheels had bible verses on them. here are some reasons for a Christian brand.
♥to show the word of God to other people and skaters
♥it could help spread Christianity with so many people and skaters seeing the board
♥it could help people think more of God
♥if skaters got hurt they can read the bible scripture and feel better about themselves
♥it will remind skaters that God is always with them
so do u think there could be a Christian skateboard brand and would you buy a skateboard from that brand?

Well some brands aren't Christian as such, but their owners are very much Christian.
Jamie Thomas (Zero, Mystery, Fallen, Slave) even made a video just about his faith.
Brian Sumner is doing something similar, but with skateboarding in it too.
In my opinion I don't think skateboarding and religion should mix. Firstly, I think it is trivial - it's like bringing out a Christian tennis raquet or a Christian bicycle, the two things don't really have relevance with each other.
Secondly and unfortunately, because there is so much conflict over religion in this world, I don't think it would sit well in skateboarding, as it has it's own culture which for the mostpart is about unification - if a skateboarder sees a skateboarder in the street, then they will know they have something in common. Adding religious factions might ruin this somewhat.
Thirdly, I don't believe in having to subscribe to your own beliefs. You could buy a Christian board, and who knows, some of that money might go towards Christian aid charities, but if there's a bit from the bible that helps you personally, why not just write that on your own board?
It's an interesting question though :) thankyou for bringing it up!

There ARE Christian skateboard brands. You just have to look for them. Not only are there the Jamie Thomas brands like Zero and Fallen which are not "Christian" brands but rather brands owned and opperated BY Christians.
Along the same lines, Christian Hosoi is back (and cooler than ever) and his new http://hosoiskates.com/ is definitely Jesus-inspired.
Beyond that, you've got full-on "Christian" brands like Untitled skateboards. You can check them out at http://www.untitledskateboards.com/ . (Go Dave Nelson, woo!)
Now, as for whether or not skateboarding and Christianity mix, that's probably a matter of taste. I would tend to vote a loud and proud "YES!" But you have to keep in mind that many skaters are teenagers who are ticked off at their parents and/or anything that represents "authority" in any way, shape or form. They tend to be a little anti-religion in that regard.
The good part is, though, that you've got a LOT of older pros, and not-so-old pros coming out of the closet (so to speak) about their Christian faith these days, (See: Jamie Thomas, Josh Harmony, Brian Sumner, Forrest Kirby, Christian Hosoi, Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, etc.). Here's hoping these guys will continue to positively influence skaters as the years go by.
By the way, there are also some pretty darned cool Christian skateboard-centric ministries out there too. Check out splinter skateboards and/or www.thebridgejoplin.com sometime too.

There is a Christian skateboard brand. It's Hero Skateboards. My good friend runs the company. He's just jetting back from a 6 month hiatus, so the website is not up to speed yet.

Look I am christian, but seriously that's going a little bit too far. People won't even want to look at you. Sorry, but not such a good idea. Besides, the graphic is going to get scratched off anyways when a dude takes a fall off a 10 stair lol

hmm, god didnt make me feel better when i broke my elbow whether there were scriptures on my board or not, plus skateboarders have a scumlife image anyways, no one gives us a second look when they see us cruising down the street
.. and there's a board that has an upside-down cross that says skate switch for jesus, so that it would then be a right side up cross.. that's religious..
