POLL: Have you EVER locked your...?

keys in your truck/car? When was the last time this happened to you? Tell me your stories.

STARs are very much appreciated ;)

I locked my keys in my car last night... I couldn't afford to have somone come out and open the car, so my mom and I got the car unlocked with a door stopper, a hanger, a spatula and a stick. LMAO

Update:

I've had my car since Jan. 09 and I'm managed to lock my keys in my car too many times to count. We switched insurances, and now I don't have "roadside assistance". I finally got tired of calling autodoctor and disbatch.. and finally got a key made! lol

OH my God! YES! When my daughter was in kindergarten, my hubbyish and I locked our keys AND our son in the car!!! Talk about PANICK! By the grace of God, it was a pretty chilly day, and my son thought the faces mommy was making in her state of panic were hilarious. All in all, he was only in there for about 15 minutes, cuz the fire station is less than 3 blocks away from the school parking lot, but we are a lot more conscious of where the keys are before we lock the car...

Yes I have at least twice.

The first time my "Butler" (I'm from a rich family) had to call my father who helped me out.

Today in America (God Bless!) I locked my car. I was lucky there was a hardware shop across the street. I get a horse shoe and a battery and wire. What I did was connect the battery and wire to the horse shoe. Then I take a magnet and strike it across the shoe. It sparked really bad. I do this about 5 times. Luckily my lock is made of metal, i put the magnet on the glass, and slowly raise it up. To my surprise, the door unlocked!

Here is the secret: When you charge a magnetic pole, you are increasing the field range. With the battery at 12V, you are increasing the field at least 12 times X 2 for the strong magnet I had =24 times greater. About 1/2 the strength needed to lift a computer! This only works if you know how to alter the magnetic field. Call me a lire if you want, but everything is not impossible!

On star would be my Idea for a next car.

Yes I took my Mom-In-Law with me to the store & when we got out I

realized I left the keys in the ignition & the car was still running.I called

her son my husband at the time to bring my extra keys to me ! Lucky

we were not that far away ! Did it another time with the ignition turned

on accessories & left it over night & of course the battery was dead in the morning. Trying to find the battery was a hassle it was up near the front window under the dash.Had to take out all these screws to charge

it.Needless to say I have never done that again ! Thank God,lol

Ive never personally did it, but my sister was at walmart and she locked her keys in the car so my dad had to drive like an hour to give her an extra set of keys to open it.

Also my mom was at the store and she shut her door and was gonna go open the door for my sister(1 years old) but the car locked and my mom started flippin out and she had to call the police to open the door, my sister was okay, they don't even think she realized what was going on (:

I was visiting some friends. I locked the car door but in the last instant saw the keys were in the ignition. I tried to stop the door from shutting but only managed to lock my fingertips in the door. There was no-one home to help me so I had to pull my fingers out, leaving two fingernails behind. Stupid stupid stupid.

I have you topped. About four years ago I went to the mall and locked the keys in the car...in the ignition. The car was running. Had to call AAA. Slightly embarrassing.

Never..but I have a toyota so if the key is in the ignition then I can't lock the door and before that I never really locked my truck ha

  • I have done it too many times to count. I have roadside assistance through my auto insurance and cell phone. It has actually been a couple of years. Maybe I finally learned my lesson.

I feel like such a complete idiot. When I first started living by myself,I used to lock myself out of the house a LOT.Dunno how much money I paid to the technician I called all the time to let me in.He'd known me by name, and once his wife sent me some cookies. edit:Had to edit this to say that today I locked myself in the bathroom; the same guy came to the rescue.

I did that last week sometime. I had to get a key from my twin sister who also shares the car with me so it wasnt really that big of a deal
