1. Click Messenger menu.
2. Click Preferences.
3. Click Ignore List.
4. Tick the bottom option "Ignore only the names below."
5. Select the names you want to remove. Click Remove.
6. (Optional) Now if you want to restrict your IMs so only your messenger contacts can IM you. tick the top option "Ignore anyone not on my messenger list." This is optional and is reversible by just choosing the bottom option later.
7. Click OK.
