he can put whatever he wants in his will.... but that doesn't make it legally right.
There are some things that will not hold up in court.

No, Social Security goes to the surviving spouse. If they own a house together (which I dont see how that happened considering he is married) He cannot will it to someone else, in other words he is a co owner of the house, he can only will away his share of the house, but not the whole house.

A will has no jurisdiction over the right to Social Security benefits nor does a divorce settlement.

No, he will have no control over the social security. And the house cannot be willed by him if it is jointly owned by his wife.

YOU NEED TO CALL SOC SEC TO GET A DEFINITE ANSWER TO THIS. THEY HAVE RULES ABOUT WHO GETS THEIR MONEY IF A PERSON DIES AND I AM NOT SURE IF A WILL CAN CHANGE THAT. AS FOR ANY PROPERTY, THAT CAN BE LEFT TO ANYONE HE WANTS IN A WILL. A WIFE HAS NO PREFERENCE WHEN A WILL IS WRITTEN AND FILED WITH THE COURTS.
