My 2004 600 RR is overheating?

I got 15000 miles on my cbr and it starting to over heat when idling only. Temp will go to 220, the fans does come on but the temp keeps rising. Has anyone encounter this problem? any suggestions will help

    my guess is your thermostat is buggered - i,m assuming you have checked the fluid level is fine and theres not a plastic bag stuck to your radiator! also check the fluid for oil and vice versa - that is make sure there is no internal crack in the head - this will cause overheating.

    a sure sign of this is the milky appearance of your oil or oil in the coolant which you will drain to flush the system - see next step.

    flush out the system to make sure there is no blockage and replace the thermostat - an easy and cheap job which you can do in your driveway - providing its not snowing - and replace the coolant.

    jobs done. oh if it is a cracked head - time for the 09!!
