I want to bring my lunch this year but i need healthy ideas!?
My cafeteria does not serve food that is healthy enough. I am bringing my lunch because i eat healthy at home and want to keep that up at school also! I am in the 8th grade but i need ideas of what to bring each day! I don't eat a lot of meat so vegetables and fruits are a great start!

there are many options.you just have to be a little creative and explore your choices.here is a list of what i plan to bring to school (i only have a month left of vacation D= ) :
-pasta salad
-hummus with veggies and pita
-chickpea spread and crackers (recipe: http://happyherbivore.com/2009/01/spicy-%E2%80%A6 )
-english muffin pizza
-bagel and cream cheese
-soup (in a thermos)
-vegetable sushi
-peanut butter & (marshmallow fluff [it's vegetarian] or banana or jelly)
-bean burrito
-pasta dishes in a thermos (spaghetti,mac n cheese...etc.)
-chili (in a thermos) with a baked potato in foil to pour it over.
-falafel sandwich
-tortilla chips with a tupperware bowl layered with salsa,refied beans,guacamole,cheese and olives to scoop up :)
and make sure to accompany these dishes with a drink,a piece of fruit or fruit salad,veggies & dip if you like and of course dessert.

Get an insulated lunch bag and a cold pack and bring whatever healthy food you eat at home. Use plastic containers with lids and plastic forks so you don't lose the ones from the silverware drawer. You can bring leftovers from dinner. You already know what foods are good for you so use that as a guideline for lunch. Rice dishes with veggies, mixed fruit cut up with yogurt on top, whole grain crackers and cheese. Go online and look up healthy lunches.

Enjoy the wholesome goodness of my world famous Carrot Sandwich
Ingredients:
1/2 fresh grated wholesome carrot
2 slices whole wheat bread
1/2 sprig green onion chopped
1/2 sprig fresh cilantro chopped
1 slice tomato
1 piece romaine lettuce
1 teaspoon sweet mustard (optional)
1 tablespoon hummus
Directions:
Preparation time: 5 minutes.
Spread the sweet mustard on one slice of the vegan bread. Spead the hummus on the other slice. Layer the wholesome carrot, cilantro, green onion, tomato, and lettuce on the vegan bread and enjoy! Bread is also good toasted.

chopped carrots or celery and ranch is always good and pay attention to what you are drinking as well, many drinks are worse for you than the food your eating (sugar wise)
