The 2 points was for an answer that was deleted and the 10 was for breaking a rule. Read "About Yahoo Answers" at the left side of any Y!A page. You will get an email soon with the answer that was "reported".
You will get a chance to "appeal". Don't waste that asking what you did wrong. It is your one chance to tell why you did NOT break any rules. If you win the appeal, you get your 12 points back. And the person who reported you gets demoted.
Click on FORUM at the left side of the page. Tell others about your 12 points and they will help you win the appeal.

once you answer a query, the asker can checklist you for abuse, on your answer. often times they do this on account which you have been a jerk to them, often times they do this because of the fact they're being jerky with you. Yahoo violations would properly be because of the fact somebody did no longer like your answer or they concept it grew to become into offensive. you will properly be violated because of the fact the asker felt your answer wasn't an answer. that's all in elementary terms subjective. If the asker clicks onto 'checklist abuse' it's going to cost you ten factors, if somebody else provides a thumbs down it's going to cost you one factor. Your answer ought to've been violated and a couple of people gave you a thumbs down. you will desire to be sent a 'yahoo solutions violation observe' on your e mail. in case you probably did circulate returned to that query, click on the askers icon, circulate to their questions and checklist abuses returned, payback.
