Hm yea this is a situation that really sucks :/ i went through it with one of my guyfriends (hes now my boyfriend btw :D) mabye you should look for signs if he likes you. ( standing closer, staring at you, messing with you, ect.)
Dont make any moves before he shows any signs, and if he does definetly go for it :)
