What makes a small room look bigger? Black or white furniture?
My room is lavender (light purple) and I have a full size bed, a floor lamp, and a wall mirror with a black frame and that's pretty much it. Tomorrow my mom and I are going to ikea they're having a sale, and I was thinking to get a black bed frame and white nightstands. Or should I just stick with one color?

White furniture makes the room look bigger. Lighter colors = bigger looking room.
Don't buy a different colored bed and nightstand. It would defeat the point of getting new furniture and make it look like you just threw some old stuff together.

Don't mix the white with the black. Get a black bed frame and black night stands to go with your mirror. They will look elegant with your lavender.
