Since livestock production is the #1 cause of climate change, why don't the government address the main issue?

    Climate change is part of the natural order of things and would still be happening if humans were not on this planet.

    The rest is politically motivated tripe, like your post.

    Don't know about you but I don't want to live in a burgerless & steakles world! Anyway I'd imagine places like Australia & America have much more livestock than us. Why should we keep changing things when no other nation will? We aren't the problem.

    And cross the farmers? They don't have the bottle. It takes 5l of water to produce 1 l of milk. Modern intensive agriculture is also a net CO2 contributor. It takes 2.8kg of oil to produce 1 kg of food energy. The Cubans are the only ones who are getting more out of less energy. Their new way if 5 times more efficient than current conventional way. Some one want to crush their discovery. Guess who.

    That is factually incorrect.

    The carbon credits in pastures, soil, water and ecology to raise livestock significantly outways the carbon impact of livestock. Also another fallacy is that livestock require high usage of water - farming practices in desert areas and Australia have shown significant numbers of livestock can rely on rainfall based water alone.
