Where do I register to review manuscripts for technology books?

I am interested in reviewing and providing comments on pre published technology books. I would like to know whether there are places where I can register my interest of reviewing manuscripts? Or how do I get the offers to review the technology manuscripts?

Thanks for your inputs

I can only speak for UK here but when I lectured for a University I was approached to do this, however I was also cheeky enough to email various publishing houses and offer my services. You do have a responsibility to review them properly, not just add them to your collection. Proper critical review and all that. Sometimes you get to keep them but watch out as in this recessionary age you may well get a bill.

Check out the online book sites and find the bit which says 'Inspection' copies. Some will, some won't, but I have found it very useful.

Now retired so no need any more :-)
