If you skip a birthcontrol pill do you take two the next day or take one as usual?
I accidentally forgot to take my birth control pill yesterday, I was wondering if I need to take two today or just one?
Also do the pills need to be taken at the same time everyday? I usually take mine at night but one night I'll take it at 8pm and on another night 10pm.
I am not sexually active so my concern is not getting pregnant, I take the pill solely for balancing out my periods.

ok so i asked a pharmisist the same thing, and you dont take 2 the next day. missing one pill is ok, your chances of getting preg are slightly higher, but only like 2%, its if you miss 2 pills in a row that u are no longer protected. so it wont affect your period unless u miss 2 or more. so carry on as normal. and depending on what pill you are on you have a 2-7 hour leway on what time you can take it

You are suppossed to take two as soon as you remember. If it just the next morning I would say take the one and then take the other one as you usually do at night.
I don't think a couple of hours difference from night to night makes a difference. This is how I do it and I have been using the pill for 23 years.

If you forgot for a whole 24 hours then just take one. But if you remembered after like 12 hours, take one when you remember, and then one when you normally would take your pills.

You need to take them both at the same time if necessary. if you forget one again, take the forgotten on as soon as you remember. Read the leaflet that came with your pill!
