I GREW UP ROAMING OUR 300 ACRE PROPERTY.MANY WILL NOT BELIEVE THAT THEY EXIST.YES...ALL MOST EVERY LIVING CREATURE ,AN ALBINO WILL BE BORN.

AN ALBINO DEER LIVED IN OUR FOREST.MEN WHO LOVED TO HUNT PASSED THE OPPORTUNITY TO HANG THIS TROPHY ON A WALL.I'VE SEEN FOXES,RABBITS,ETC.THE ODDEST,BOB CAT.

WE PUT SALT LICKS OUT FOR THE CATTLE.A SNOW CAME,I LOOKED OUT THE KITCHEN WINDOW AND I WAS AWED BY THE ALBINO DEER AS THE BUCK PLEASURED THE WHITE SALT.WHITE SNOW DRIFTING ALL WAS WHITE.HIS RACK WAS THE BIGGEST I'VE EVER SEEN.AT THAT TIME A CAMERA WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO KIDS.THE PICTURE IS IMPRINTED IN MY MIND AND HEART FOREVER.THE BARN STOOD IN THE BACK GROUND, A HUGE OAK TREE ,SNOW COVERED THE LONG ARM WHERE I SAT.FROM THAT SAFE ARM OF THAT OAK I 'VE A LOT OF ALBINO'S .THIS IS WHY I KNOW THEY EXIST IN ALL.THANKS FOR BRINGING THOSE MEMORIES A LIVE.YOU ASKED A QUESTION,AND I WROTE A STORY.SORRY.....MAYBE I'LL DO A PAINTING.

EXCUSE ALL CAPS.WORDS ARE BLURRED TODAY WITHOUT THEM.KEEP WALKING.IF YOU SEE ANY MORE PLEASE EMAIL ME. THANKS!!!!

What I find most interesting is the fact that there are any living white Crows. Crows have a well researched habit of killing any crow that is not to a crows normal template. This is even true about chicks that are just begining to fletch.

I would think that those crow escaped from a human's cage. if the rest of the Black Crows' band had showed up the White crows would have been attacked.

there are always genetic variations in species.. also albinos occur occasionally. many years ago before many millions of them perished due to west nile virus, I saw a crow with some white feathers in wings, but it was basically black. there was one squirrel in a local park that was totally white, and a plushy white to boot. within the grouping near that squirrel there was one other that was close to white in coat and others who had some white hairs.... I never saw this again and unfortunately the whole grouping of squirrels were killed by feral cats inhabiting the parks. today the cats are long gone their survivors killed and eaten by either hawk, fox or coyote.

No, but I have seen crows with white markings, which I gather is uncommon. You were lucky to see them as pure white crows are very rare. It's too bad you didn't have your camera! The fact that you saw two together would suggest they are siblings and maybe the other two were also related to them.

You reminded me of a story I read as a little girl about a crow named Silverspot and so I had to go look it up. I've included the site in case you want to read it too. I've also included another site below that with an image of a white crow.

Curious. Wouldn't a white crow just be a dove?

No. Never. All I see are the black ones outside my balcony every morning and they are noisy obnoxious things I feel like shooting but it's not allowed where I live but if I saw a white one I would never want to shoot it unless it was with a camera.
