I just passed calculus I ?

I'm sorry, I know this isn't a real question and that it's in the wrong section.

I'd just like to announce I passed calculus I.

I'm 36 and returning to university. I'm going for an MA in Economics. I had never done math that hard before in my life. I worked like a dog, but I got a great grade.

I welcome your comments.

I don't mean to be bragging. I really worked hard.

    Congratulations.

I hope you get a career out of it.

I used to love calculus as I treated it as puzzles.

You're 36, returning to university. Good on you. What's wrong with your present occupation. What university are you attending? Just curious.

I am 44, an artist. I wish I could go back to university and do more courses, but I am needed to run my ageing parents' shop. I am studying at home, though I'm not attending any colleges or taking tuitions, as I'm mainly self-taught. I am studying to make myriad self-improvements, some that would enhance my artistic career.

Well, Calc 2 will be a breeze then. Calculus is a strange subject...once you get past the first round of it, it seems to get easier and easier to understand.

I know plenty of people who spent 2 semesters in Calc 1, cried their way into Calc 2 and walked out with 4.0 in it after only showing up for one class a month all semester.

Congrats! I felt the same after getting a 98.2 in Business Calc.

I stayed for class and then 15 minutes later she taught the same exact course. So...Monday - Thursday I was in class for 3 hours. Plus studying 2 hours a night. Plus an extra 2 hours (Mondays & Wednesdays) when I would get her help during her office hours! :-)

I was HAPPY! So CONGRATS! ^^

Nice! I will be getting my BA in Economics this May; I did calculus I last year.

It really isn't as bad once you get into it, is it? I was terrified of it until I actually started the class.

    Good for you.

The math levels will continue to get higher. You might even need to take inferential statistics (depending on program requirements), but that is chump change compared to calculus.
