Did you know that even US companies don't invest (put factories here) because . . . .?

. . . of the high cost of providing health insurance in the US?

Lots of plant closings, like NUMMI in Fremont, CA, are because foreign companies can open plants in Canada or Mexico far cheaper because they don't have to pay for health insurance.

But worldwide, most corporations don't consider the US as a place to do business because we saddle the companies with huge health plan costs. Did you know about this part of the health insurance debate?

That isn't why! It is because we have the second highest corporate income tax in the world. Second only to Japan!

You are also wrong about companies building factories in Canada this isn't happening because the have the third highest corporate tax in the world!

The second reason few companies build factories here is because of all of the government regulations which cost a company money to comply with.

By the way we don't saddle them with health care costs they offer it to their employees as a benefit! Companies do not have to offer their employees health care if they do not want to. You must not ever have worked or you would have know this.

Did you know that companies don't open plants here because people in other countries work for 10 cents an hour? Did you know if public health care passes that companies will be required to provide insurance to their employees by law? Did you know this would make even more employers send jobs off shore?

Did you ever consider the possibility that U.S. companies put their plants in Mexico because they want to hire cheap labor instead of hiring highly skilled, quality minded Americans? Did you ever consider the possibility that these companies want to put their plants in Mexico because Mexico has weak labor laws and no unions? Yeah, these companies are so patriotic, aren't they? They fly the American flag outside their corporate headquarters somewhere in New York while their entire manufacturing labor force is in Mexico. What a bunch of patriots.

there is no incentive for them to put plants here. Obam will tax the heck out of them and demonise them. so at the same time he wrecks life for all. Come on people be nice to her she seems like she's on the conservative side of this.

Source(s): never ever elect or re-elect democrats for any state local, or government office ever again. spread the word!!!
