What should i do? My friend won't talk to me about why she was crying?

Okay my best friend might have to quit volleyball because her stepmother doesn't like her playing lots of sports so shes might make her quit but today we were in volleyball just like every other day except before practice her stepmom called her and was yelling at her but in volleyball today i was practicing passing and she was passing too until coach collins called her over to talk to him and they went outside the gym and when they came back in the gym she was crying and wipeing tears from her eyes then she came back to practing passes like nothing was wrong and i asked her what was wrong and she said nothing. how do i get her to talk to me about this?

    Tell your friend that she could really count on you and that you wouldn't tell anyone else. Overall, you're best friends so she's gonna tell you. Just ask her what's wrong and tell her that u guys can try to solve the problem with her stepmom.

    btw, her stepmom should let your friend do whatever she wants, if she likes sports,then she can't change that. Your friend can make her own decisions about what she wants to do:)

    If it was her mom who upset her....

    I would just tell her that you are there for her and if she needs anything you'll help. I have major issues with my mother being degrading and yelling at me. Sometimes I don't want people to know about it. If she knows that you are there to support her, when she is ready she may talk. If she never talks to you about it don't force the issue. Believe me, it just brings up how much hurt that the harsh parent brought on you.
