What is a Praline? Like a type of nut?

I work in an ice cream parlour and we have this one flavour called Pralines N' Cream.. People ask me 'What is a praline? Is it a type of nut?'

And I have NO idea what to tell them! Haha

So what's a Praline?

THANKS:)

    What Is A Praline

  • 1 decade ago

The Praline is a candy treat usually associated with New Orleans. They are made by placing clusters of pecans on a wax paper, then pouring on melted sugar flavored with vanilla extract and sometimes rum to create a candy patty. The good ones are very very good, and the bad ones are good.

It is not a nut, it is a type of jellyfish that gets mashed then hardened. It tastes like a mixture of kangaroo and beef
