How long does it take for a cannarie to heal a hurt leg?
I have two female Canaries and they were playing around the other day and one got its leg hurt. There was a log of blood dripping from it. I got the blood stopped quickly but now, two days later, the bird is still favoring the leg. How long before the bird will be back to full health?

That is going to depend on the extent of the injury. I would take your canary to an avian vet for an exam. Many canaries (and other pet birds) favor a leg when it's broken. The leg could be broken. It can also get easily infected since the skin was broken and it was bleeding. Let your avian vet take a look at the leg. The leg will heal much quicker if the vet treats it. Plus, if it's broken or infected, it has to be treated or it can become deformed. In addition, an infection can make your canary very ill or it can die. Don't let this go and not do anything. Get the canary to a vet as soon as possible.
