I think My Ferret is really, really sick. Can anyone help shed some light? please :(?
ok so about 2 months ago i noticed, Kit (my ferret), Had orange skin between her shoulder blades. My mom said we just need to bath her more often so about 1 evry two weeks we gave her a bath. Well her skin is still orange. So i finally looked it up today and it says maybe adrenal disease, but she hasn't had any fur loss, but she itches like crazy and gets tired really easy. and like i said before she has the orange skin between her shoulder blades. I told mom we should take her to the vet so we are in a week or so. But before then can anyone else help me figure out what the heck is wrong with her?!?!?!?

It's oils! Some ferrets are more oily than others. My male's neck under his chin is super orange from oils
What color is she? My female (who is gray) also has a reddish tint under her fur in between her shoulder blades. It's not really a concern.
Bathing her once every two weeks is terrrrrrible for her skin- no more than 3 times a year.
Where did you hear adrenal? I'll look into it but I've never heard that. Ferrets are pretty itchy creatures (check her for fleas, though) and how long does she play until she falls asleep. How old is she? Baby ferrets sleep quite a bit, even adult ones sleep 20+ hours a day.
If you want some peace of mind, though, you can always pop her into the vet and get their opinion. ;-)
EDIT: The only think I found for yellowed fur/skin is Hepatitis.....

But I think they'd have to be really yellow for you to be concerned. Ears would also have to be yellow.

The LONGER you wait the harder it is to treat, don't make it half a month from now, do it next week.
