My wireless router is unbearably slow?
I recently bought a Netgear Router that worked perfectly. It was fast and beautiful but now it is so slow that it can take up to 5 minutes to load a page. Its actually faster to use my neighbors internet that made me want a new router in the first place. Whats wrong with this damn thing? The only other component that uses it is my xbox.

I have a netgear wireless router that is to die for, I do not know how I was living with out one. First is try using you internet or Xbox just with the modem and see if it works the same, so you would at least know it isn't that. Second maybe your router needs to be updated or reconfigure your settings. I do not remember the website that netgear has but it should be easy to find. The next thing is you have to look up your password and username, you have to go to the I forgot button because who remembers that. Anyway once in you can check your settings and make sure they are at its highest. I payed 90 dollars for a comcast tech to this for me and I was banging my head against my keyboard on how easy it was to fix. Lastly check your ethernet cord for damages. Hope this helps

you need to wire it directly into the router if it has ethernet ports, to test it without the wireless aspect. if it works than reconfure the router, and the computer. does both your xbox and computer work slow? then its likely the wireless aspect of the router. did you unplug the power and restart it that way? somtimes there info gets jammeed
oh and un plug/plug in your modem at the same time as the router and then plug the modem in ...let it start up and then the router then turn the computer on. this fixes things 90% of the time

Did you try turning off your xbox? If you turned it off and your internet is now fast your xbox was hogging all your bandwith then.
