where does inglourious basterds rank among tarantino's movies?
i'm going out on a limb here and saying that this could be his 2nd best movie ever, falling only to pulp fiction, my personal favorite movie ever...this film is everything i expected and more, and everything that every qt fan has come to expect in his movies: the violence, gore, humor, and sharp wit; but he also adds in some plot twists and turns around his nonlinear story, which is more straightforward than in other movies of his...additionally, it would be a shame if christoph waltz did not get an oscar nomination for his multi-lingual performance as col. hans landa, he is brilliant in no uncertain terms, and brad pitt is as excellent as he always is, his character portrayed smoothly and carved carefully by qt...it's easily my favorite movie of this year so far, and i don't think it would be a stretch to say that it could get a best picture nomination given that there are 10 candidates this year
what is everyone else's opinion?

Yes! I saw it lastnight at the midnight showing and I loved it. I love all of his work. I would have to agree I think it is his 2nd best. I personally think Reservoir Dogs is number one

I thought it was slow to start off, but overall a good movie. It wasn't as good as the director's previous film, Kill Bill, though. Overall a well played out movie that captured the real look and feel of how they wanted to characters to be.
Of course, I may have to see it on DVD when it comes out as I only saw it free online at http://www.leakedmovies.net/inglouriousbasterds
